Oi… they really went to a lot of trouble with the sewage system. Nicely done, lots of traps, hordes of enemies, and now they even group. What I don’t like… not many individual duels. I thought the visual design of the sewers was great, but unfortunately I found them a bit confusing. When you cross it for the first time, you think the whole time… wow how deep am I, I’m the Xth branch left and right, then down somewhere else.
I don’t know where I am, what I missed and where I actually wanted to go. I almost missed the boss down here, I then did another hour of rework in the sewers, but more to find secret passages and treasures. In the process I also found the way to “Mohg the Omen” (the boss down here). Finally something to do again I thought, then he fell very quickly.
So Dark Souls was really a lot more demanding when it came to bosses. Also, in Elden Ring there was always talk of over 200 bosses… Where are they all? Currently I can only remember 5-8. Or are the little gangsters in some cellar being counted here?
Elden Ring can’t keep up with Dark Souls when it comes to bosses, but the open world and exploring – that’s where Elden Ring really comes up trumps.
You have the feeling that there is a secret under every stone, every wall could be a secret passage and every dark corner offers access to a larger area that you would otherwise miss.
Unfortunately I lost an hour of video working my way through the piping, the goblins are really annoying little critters. When I knew the way and ran through it again for the video… 5 minutes. You can see how fast it goes when you know the way.
