Oh man… the boss fights with two whips have been really challenging. You don’t have a shield to block, no decent war ashes that do proper damage. I have to say, Prelate Purgatos was quite challenging to play in the end.
Personally, I really struggle with two whips without a shield. I got better at dodging with Purgatos, but I didn’t have more fun with it. I miss the backstabs and stagger after a poise break. With whips you’ve got not crits or stagger moves.
And with two thorned whips at the same time, some opponents were really challenging. Especially if they were very resistant to the type of damage. Here, two different whips would certainly have been more appropriate (strike and slash). I have the feeling that swords are particularly favoured in this game. Maybe that would also be a cosplay, a simple soldier with a sword becomes an Eldenlord? 🙂
I’m already thinking about which character I’ll create for the next adventure, I thought a Cleanrot Knight would be nice, but then I’d have no shield again 😀 Only scythe and lance.
