14 – From Upper Calrath to Skyrest Bridge

Okay, now it’s getting unfair, I don’t mean difficult, but simply unfair. Fair is when you approach the enemies carefully and can lure them a bit, pick out enemies and actually always have the opportunity to get further with smartness. Now I just have the feeling that the designers have lost the plot. Nasty groups appear, traps lie on the ground (all at the same time) and… invisible fire wizards who don’t have to cast on line of sight and teleport their bombs directly to you while you can’t see them but only a slight wobble on the background. Then, of course, she is protected by a blue umbral essence that you have to get rid of first while the sorceress and a dog hunt you down. I don’t like this hectic pace, you don’t really have any peace and quiet any more. It’s just chaos everywhere. The enemies don’t have to face the same physics as you, which means they cast through walls, punch through walls and don’t get stuck with their weapons. You yourself already have problems not getting stuck on a pebble and even the short sword often gets stuck when you quick strike.
I’m also missing a good seven levels of agility, I’ve already warmed up my new main weapon, now I need some more agility, I’m thinking about where I could farm a round. I’m looking forward to the halberd, halberds and hammers were always my favourite weapons in Soulslike games.
I’m now back in Skyrest Bridge, but I’ve found a new interesting item, Pilgrims Perch Key. I’m curious to see what’s waiting behind the doors. Apart from that, I’m just wondering where to go next?
