So now I’ve got to put my money where my mouth is and take a chance, I’ll farm Vigor and invest in the missing points for the halberd. I’m hoping to get a bit more bang out of it. I like the short sword, no question, but I’m hoping for the halberd, halberds and hammers are my favourite.
I definitely still need some practice to get used to the halberd. I can’t really judge the range yet and have to say goodbye to the sword-running attack. I also think I’ll have even more problems in narrow corridors now, so I’ll probably have to switch from time to time. I was also flirting with the Morning Star (Holy Bulwark Mace) from those great knights of the swamp, but unfortunately it’s still linked to Radiance :-/ – of course, I only found this out after a few rounds of farming.
Besides, I don’t really know where to go next, I probably should have read all the texts. But I rarely play games like this for the story, more for the dark fantasy setting and the fun of the duels. Of course, the role-playing elements are not to be scoffed at either.
