Boss killed: The Hushed Saint

The area was smaller than expected, there was only a small pond with a few huts. But what came next was really big – The Hushed Saint. It took me what felt like 50 attempts before I managed to take him down. I found it particularly difficult to counter his attacks in phase two. When he jumped out of the ground I didn’t really know how to deal with him. I also made the mistake of trying to block everything at first. The key to victory was to dodge his attacks. But just dodging didn’t work either, every now and then he made attacks where I either had to be close to him or away from him.
But the camera was usually my worst enemy. The area was very confusing and I quickly lost the overview with the camera directly above the ground. However, I think the design of the Hushed Saint is quite good.
Now that I can relax and watch the video of the first fight, I have to say… there wasn’t much missing to kill the boss. The biggest problem with boss battles is always the frustration when it was close and then not getting too emotional in the fight. You just want to beat the boss… which leads to mistakes.
The other thing I noticed after analysing the fights is… I have far too little life, now that I’ve actually decided to work with the shield I need a lot more life, because that’s basically my block power.
And another thing I noticed is that I actually died 18 times, I missed one death when editing the video.
