Cathmor Reyne

Cathmor Reyne is a wandering prophet who enters the Lands Between with no sword, shield, or armor to protect him. He rejects the strength of steel and chooses to rely entirely on faith, sacred seals, and incantations.

At first, Cathmor still clings to the remnants of the old order. He believes that faith should offer meaning, comfort, and guidance to those who suffer. Yet everywhere he travels, he finds the same contradictions: rulers who sacrifice their people, servants abandoned by their masters, outcasts punished for their birth, and holy institutions that preserve themselves while the world collapses around them.

Cathmor is not loud, cruel, or openly fanatical. He is quiet, observant, and deeply compassionate. His greatest weakness is that he cannot accept suffering as an unavoidable part of existence. Every broken life becomes evidence that the world itself was built upon a mistake.

The discovery of the Flame of Frenzy slowly changes him. Its yellow fire does not merely become his weapon. It begins to answer questions that the Golden Order never could. Where others see madness, Cathmor begins to see clarity. Where others defend individuality, ambition, and separation, he sees the roots of loneliness, conflict, and pain.

His journey is therefore not simply about becoming stronger. It is the story of a disappointed believer gradually transforming into something far more dangerous: a man whose compassion may eventually convince him that the only way to end suffering is to erase every boundary that allows one being to exist apart from another.

Cathmor Reyne begins as a fragile preacher searching for truth.

One day, he may become a witness of the One Great.
