Episode 8 takes Sariel through the Withered Shoals, the corrupted region beyond the Gate of Mammon. The route leads through Ossinite Falls and Nameless Pass, across a broad, mist-filled swamp shaped by giant bones, hollow structures and remnants of something much older than the ruins around it.
The area holds a few worthwhile detours, including the Strange Grisha and the Depleted Gland hidden near the final descent. From Nameless Pass, the path eventually drops into the fog where the Hexapod waits at the end of the Corrupted Gate.
Despite its size and dramatic appearance, the Hexapod proves surprisingly manageable. Its attacks are large but readable, and once the timing becomes clear, the fight turns into a matter of patience more than survival. Three attempts are enough, with the boss already pushed below ten percent health each time before greed gets in the way.
Another gate cleansed, and another strange corner of the world left behind.

Oh, what a stretch of soggy ground! All that pale bone sticking out looked perfect for wind chimes if you bonk them right. The fog tasted like soup for the nose, which is the second-best kind of soup after mud stew.
That big Hexapod had six chances to step in a puddle, so odds were good, but the floor didn’t slip. Gates are just lids for sideways holes; brushing them clean makes the dirt smile. Grisha sounds like a shovel with manners. NG+1 Night Mode is just digging at bedtime… best worms clock in then.
Ah, the Withered Shoals… where the fog is expired milk and the landscape is one big bone exhibit that forgot to file for permits. Sariel sashays through Ossinite Falls and Nameless Pass like a museum docent with a death wish, pausing to chat up a Strange Grisha because obviously the best detours involve eldritch customer service. And scooping a Depleted Gland? Nothing says adventure like pocketing medical waste.
Then it’s down into the soup for a date with the Hexapod: six legs, zero boundaries, and big “dramatic silhouette, minimal follow-through” energy. Watching greed vaporize health bars is my favorite sitcom rerun… one more hit, three times in a row, chef’s kiss. Still, gate cleansed, ego slightly scuffed, cosmos marginally tidier. Wipe your boots… swamp tracks really clash with the Mammon décor.
