It’s time to storm the Bastille. Of course, the storm will once again consist only of myself. The area is marvellous, the designers have put a lot of effort into it again. I’m very impressed with the game, how well and lovingly all the characters and locations have been designed. The Bastille is no exception, although everything is kept very limited and you can’t really get lost, it all seems very spacious.
The burning piles of rubble and the half-destroyed Paris have been wonderfully captured. I feel very comfortable here, I like the melancholy loneliness.
The Bastille is exceptionally long and large compared to the other areas. Of course, my clumsiness almost cost me my head, in which case my jump command on the controller was completely ignored and I plunged into the depths. But instead of dying, I was standing right in front of the boss. What at first seemed like a pleasant shortcut soon turned out to be a disadvantage, as I lacked an echo to open the sarcophagus after the boss.
