Location: Royal Garden
Boss killed: The Hanging Queen
I really didn’t know if I wanted to keep playing, I’m not really warming up to it yet. The story (if there is one) remains somewhat in the dark here. I’m still struggling with the combat system, but it’s getting better. In the first part of the Royal Garden, I mainly focus on parrying. After the last boss (Odur), I thought about making defence and parrying more my own.
At the end of the Royal Garden, of course, there’s a boss waiting for me and it’s difficult. Difficult mainly because it’s big and confusing. If you’re standing close to your opponent, it’s difficult to judge what he’s doing. If you’re unlucky, you can get caught in roots on the ground or the camera disappears into the tree. In addition to the poor camera work, I’m also annoyed that I can’t cancel command stacks. In contrast to Dark Souls, where you could only give one command in advance, here there are two or three. Maybe I’ll find a way to reset this stack.
This level wasn’t actually very big either, I think an experienced player can get through it in about 15 minutes.
