I made a mistake, I looked on YouTube to see what other people thought of the game. I saw that there is another access to a new area in Blok6174. I immediately stopped the video and went on a voyage of discovery myself.
Welcome to Machinarium. Two nasty new enemies have been added. A wizard who can knock me off my feet instantly, I always have to deal with him first. My second problematic opponent is a kind of knight with a shield and a fast double-bladed sword. He blocks too often… but once you’ve fought him a few times, you know what makes him tick. That’s the way it is with Soulslike Games, you have to learn the pattern of how enemies move. Then they’re no longer sooooo problematic. But sometimes the patterns are very complex and you sometimes forget a move.
The nice thing about Machinarium – another boss is waiting for my attention. Here the Aberrant Knight stands in my way. At first I thought, oh well, a giant. But then I was annoyed by the energy waves, you ONLY have to jump out of them, unfortunately you never know exactly where he hits the spear and where the waves start. I usually jump too early, but with a bit of practice and focus it works. So far I think the bosses are nicely done.
At the end of Machinarium we went down into the depths and it was pitch black there. Maybe I should look up again beforehand, there was another area at the top where a giant was running around that I haven’t explored in detail yet. Let’s see…
