Dark Souls 2 is the only game in the Dark Souls series that I have played very little. Actually only to get through it and to have seen it. Why? I think it’s a step backwards in terms of gameplay and controls. It looks like a beta of the first Dark Souls part.
The parrying is made more complicated and you actually have to parry when you see that the opponent wants to strike. Controlling the character feels awkward, even blocking and dodging feels unfinished. Some opponents can stagger you directly and then hit you 2-3 times. It’s frustrating when you know 3 seconds beforehand… okay, now I’m going to die.
But I want to try again, unfortunately there is no Dark Souls 4. I have decided for my new start for the cleric, I don’t know if he is good or if I will soon bite on granite. I’m curious to see if Dark Souls 2 and myself will become friends after all. I’m still hoping for a Dark Souls 4.
