Wow… so with Barlmartis it was my most difficult run so far. I find it much more difficult as a caster, especially in the DLCs. The main problem is the time you spend standing around and casting… Most of the time you get hit on the head again.
In this round I also took Darkeater Midir. A really difficult boss, but with the support of Shira it went surprisingly well. You have to take your time here.
A problem child was indeed Gael, he is one of my favourite bosses. With him, it was really difficult for me to find the right tactics with the cleric. On the one hand I wanted to work miracles, but on the other hand I also wanted to create Gael. You really have to be very concentrated here and know exactly where you are and whether the distance is long enough. Above all, you must not panic and think… Oh come on, one more hit.
In terms of difficulty, I actually found it much easier to play with Arelion (Hellbarde + Shield) or Akron (2hd Mace), casters especially miracle casters were probably at a bit of a disadvantage here. Maybe I’m just better with weapon+shield though? 🙂
One of my last interesting characters has now made it through the game. Cleric Balmartis can go into well-deserved retirement. Playing with him through DS3 was the last big challenge. Now I have it through, with all interesting classes. DS1, DS2 and DS3 – how I wish I had another DS4. But maybe it’s a good thing that there is no DS4, I really invested a lot of time in this game series. Maybe time to move on 🙂
