050 – Adjustment and Equipment Upgrade

It’s been a while since I moved through the “Land Between” with Nax Sharoon. Luckily I have Youtube so I can at least take a look at what I’ve been up to lately, otherwise I’d quickly lose touch.
In the meantime I’ve been travelling a lot with my other characters, so I already understand a lot more about the game and how weapons, attributes, talismans and levels and characteristics are connected.
What struck me first was how could I choose only one strength/faith weapon as my main weapon? And why so much in faith? What do I use the dragon heads for if I hardly have anything invested in arcane anyway?
I need to find a new suitable main weapon and consider whether I want to travel with Nax more in arcane or more in faith.
But since he is Nax, the black flame, the question was not difficult. So faith, we add some Dex as a weapon skill. So which weapon should it be?
It would be nice to have something with an additional effect that is not fire. Sometimes you have fire-resistant enemies and it’s an advantage to have an alternative affinity.
I was not guided by logic, but by what is available.

Unfortunately, Nax Sharoon doesn’t yet have too many weapons to choose from, but something is already there. While looking through it, I noticed that I have some weapons with blood loss on them. You can work with that! In the talismans, I saw that we have something that increases attack power with successive blows. That means we need a fast weapon.
While testing, I noticed a few katanas and the spear Cross-Naginata. I’m not a big fan of katanas, so the spear was the current choice.
So I put points into Fait, Dex, Vigor, Endurance and some Mind. We leave out the shield now, I have gained some experience without it in the past and I don’t cling to it so anxiously anymore 😀
Instead of the shield, I’ll take Godslayer’s Seal and we’ll be very offensive. Now when I get too much damage in, it’s due to poor skill (timing) in dodging. But we’re still learning that. Especially with a new weapon, you have to find your way around first. For the ash, I chose something that triggers as many blows as possible at the touch of a button and I didn’t go for blood, but for skill, so that I can still buff the weapon at my whim.
Let’s see if I grow into the new Nax. Now he concentrates on the essentials (flames) and I have thrown out the dragon heads. Maybe later I’ll make another character as a dragon warrior.
