Playing with Balmartis as a cleric is quite relaxed. If the potions are not enough, you still have the healing and the removal of poisons and curses is no problem with him. The Crystal Sage was already in place after a few attempts and so we left the swamps of the Crucifixion Forest behind us quite quickly.
I am really impressed by how beautifully and lovingly everything in the game has been designed. For me, Dark Souls 3 definitely has the spirit and the game mechanics of the first part again.
