03 – The Weeping Peninsula

Edgar reached the Weeping Peninsula. A land drowned in rain, mist, and silence.

What began as a simple journey south slowly turned into a descent through one of the most sorrowful regions of the Lands Between. Beneath the distant glow of the Erdtree, Edgar wandered through flooded ruins, forgotten roads, and forests swallowed by cold fog. Along the cliffs, the sea crashed endlessly against black stone while broken ships rotted along the coast like the remains of another age.

At the far southern edge of the world, Castle Morne waited. The fortress stood battered by wind, rain, and rebellion. Its walls were scarred by fire and bloodshed, its courtyards littered with corpses and shattered defenses. The Misbegotten had overrun the castle completely, turning its halls into a slaughterhouse of screams and steel. Yet Edgar pressed onward through the chaos, climbing deeper into the ruined stronghold until he finally faced the source of its nightmare.

But Castle Morne was only part of the journey. Edgar crossed the drowned plains of the peninsula, explored forgotten churches and abandoned watchtowers, and descended into places long buried beneath the earth. Even the Tombsward Catacombs did not stop him. Beneath the damp stone corridors and flickering torchlight, the dead still stirred in the darkness, guarding graves no living soul remembered anymore.

The Weeping Peninsula is called mournful for a reason.
