It’s that time again. Another character becomes Eldenlord/queen. In this case, the Soulweaver Nemura becomes Elden Queen. All the boss fights up to this point were quite manageable, only the Elden beast was too nimble and moved in too large an area for the Rancor to keep up. So all that was left was the close combat with the ghost explosion.
What remains to be said? Nemura was definitely a very entertaining character. I like the skulls with the ghost flames as they slowly fly towards the opponent like a cloud. I always look forward to the impact of bosses and the damage they do. It’s a shame that I neglected the spear a bit, it too has a great ash of war which is fun. Overall, the character felt rounded. It was a bit more difficult to get by with just the skeleton warriors in the tag.
The stink zombies were actually useless, they don’t hold up like the shield soldiers and they don’t pull aggro anymore. The spearmen unfortunately also do hardly any damage and actually don’t hold up to aggro or anything. Sure they can revive if their ashes on the ground aren’t destroyed, but they don’t matter.
I wish there was the possibility to use the ashes permanently. I already have a character in mind as a kind of puppetmaster who only heals and buffs. That way you could play out the different ashes and use the advantages and disadvantages. Currently, I think mimicry is pretty much the best ash. But I went through with it and only used the skeletons and zombies that fit the character.
But I’m amazed at how much damage you can do as a necromancer, especially the ghost bomb, when you can use it, is really interesting, also with the afterburn.
