I love halberds. I’ve been upgrading my short sword all the time, but the halberd is much more fun. At least I like it a lot, now I understand when you get stuck on the walls if you only carry something in one hand. It doesn’t matter whether you’re holding a halberd of enormous size or a dagger. Interestingly, my opponents never get stuck on a wall. Perhaps this is part of the difficulty level, just like the poor camera work and the often lousy focus. I’d actually like a nice sword for the look, the halberd doesn’t match the Hallowed Knight’s armour at all.
Unfortunately, if halberds would fit, the stats are inappropriate. There should be a way to mask weapons, maybe a slot just for the look and the possibility to colour shield and weapon just like armour. Unfortunately, this was also stopped halfway through. What a pity… I’ve been playing Lords of the Fallen for many hours and it really wouldn’t have taken much to make it one of the top games in this genre. As in every Soulslike game, I would also like to see some kind of arena where I could compete against familiar enemies and bosses again.
