Man of the Hallowed Brothers is not as easy as you might think. Of course, each opponent is not a problem in itself, but the many corners and chasms and, above all, the enemies lurking everywhere are. There could be a spear thrower around every corner, or a guy with a stick who wants to push you off a cliff or the edge of a wall.
Not very exciting overall, but I’m still having fun.
I’ve said goodbye to the gigantic, barely swingable sword again. Yes, it does a lot of damage, but I don’t like the style at all. I don’t like the look or the movements, so I looked for something new. For fun I wanted to exaggerate and use the rune from the blacksmith to cancel out the weight, but unfortunately this rune fits neither the sword nor the Ruiner axe. And it wasn’t worth downgrading my clothes or even wearing the two rings for more weight.
I made the decision to bring Hyun a little more towards Caster again. I swapped rings and amulets for spelldamage and put runes that regenerate mana in the weapon and shield. I have to say, the mana thing works surprisingly well. She’s also still quite strong in melee combat. I think I’ve slowly got her final weapon setup, the shield from the Lightreaper and the Conflagrant Seer Staff. It works very well, for large groups of enemies I can take the halberd or staff in both hands and for a duel (if I ever have one) I can use the shield.
The Tower of Atonement was actually quite relaxed, I don’t worry about powerups, I don’t worry about chests. Just go down slowly, don’t fall anywhere and kill enemies from a distance if possible.
Next up is Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters, then the Judge Cleric at the end and then the castle. I’m still wishing for a second Grinning Axe to drop at some point, but hey, I’m already well equipped and very happy with the halberd. Unfortunately, two halberds didn’t convince me, the enemies ignited much slower than with the sword. So back to halberd and shield.
