21 – Tower of Penance

The Tower of Penance is a very atmospheric area. Here, too, the intention was certainly to purify souls to enable them to ascend to the Creator. As always, what was considered to be the goal was done blindly and over time the means became corrupted. I could never follow a god like Orius who allows, condones or does nothing about such things. Truth and development is what I seek. In the basement, on the lowest floor of the tower, another sad figure was hiding. It reflected the whole character of the tower. The actual thought of faith had long since become nothing more than a paper-thin cloak that couldn’t even hide the rotting flesh underneath. Unfortunately, this figure was also already so deep in his fanatical faith that a conversation could no longer take place. I could only offer him salvation from his current existence.
