After all this time as an alchemist, I can’t shake the feeling that I’m doing something wrong? I’ve been looking around for a new weapon, but haven’t found anything that helps me. Maybe I’m just being misskilled? After searching the area around Saint Cloud again, I found a place that’s good for some training. I’ve now spent more than two hours trying, including some levels.
I put a few points into strength and also upgraded engineering. I chose Strength because I simply don’t want to be weak without essences. The two bantos also scale excellently with alchemy and strength.
But even after several hours of training, I didn’t see much of an increase. I’m still annoyed by the shield bearers, who pose a great danger to me, as they are a pain in the arse at close range with their shield and enormous reach. Their spear should not be underestimated at medium range either.
I don’t know why, but I really struggle with this class.
I think I’ll move on now and see how I continue to beat them. There’s no comparison with the bodyguard, who was really easy to play at high level.
