Oh I have something new and it is a treat. It’s worth looking through the Steam library sometimes. The Surge 2 is a Souls-like game set not in a dark fantasy realm, but in a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk world. From the first impression… wow this has it in itself, here I need to parry in any case. The weapons entice me a lot, there is a huge selection, you can still upgrade them all. You can cut off any weapon you see on your opponent, basically cut off all body parts and make them your own and abuse them for your own tech upgrades – the next level of recycling.
What do I experience in the first few hours? I am shown how well I can do nothing, I quickly learn that I need to parry and use this skillfully. So timing, a thing I’m actually not good at, so it’s time to practice this a bit. When it works then to some extent it is fun. Like in Dark Souls, you really have to see who’s lurking around the next corner and how best to lure them in or take them out one by one without drawing attention from other enemies. I think the game will be a great challenge, but will also be a lot of fun.
At the beginning the game still runs in german, I only noticed when recording that I can not change it in the game. So the first episode is in german. Later I changed it in Steam. Earlier you did something like that in the game, everything is somehow more cumbersome.
