Episode 7 takes Sariel deep into the Ruins of Mammon, a region shaped by excavation, forgotten wealth and the remnants of those who once tried to claim what was buried beneath it.
The journey begins in the Deserted Slums and at the Abandoned Outpost, where Night Mode finally reveals something unique: the Collector, a hidden merchant who only appears here after dark. Nearby, the Big Ol’ Hole and the abandoned mining works already hint at what defines much of Mammon: people digging deeper and deeper into places they perhaps should have left untouched.
That theme continues inside the Obsidianite Mines. The dungeon descends through old shafts and obsidian formations until Sariel reaches the Prophet of Profane Infinities, a massive guardian blocking the way deeper into the mine.
From there, the journey moves through Sentry’s Cave, where the Subjugated Guardian waits among hidden passages, before reaching the Gate of Mammon itself. The Burrowkin Dwelling beyond it leads through cramped tunnels, spectral workers and the remains of those consumed by corruption, ending with the Infested Miner.
The route then winds through the Spoiled Mortuary and into the Besieged Ruins, where Mammon’s decay becomes even more visible. Broken halls, abandoned burial chambers and the traces of old conflict make the entire region feel less like a kingdom and more like something that has been slowly buried under its own history.
Eventually Sariel reaches the Royal Crypt of Mammon and the High Lord’s Courtyard, territory tied to Vellen and Lazlo, the Justiciar. In the original journey, Lazlo’s Shell could be found here, but this time his resting place is empty, most likely because Genessa already recovered the Shell during the first playthrough.
That small absence is another reminder that this is not a fresh journey through Mammon, but a return to a world that still carries the consequences of the previous run. After one final detour through Bellkeeper’s Corner, the journey returns to the Gate of Mammon. Another region explored, another trail of ruins left behind. And Sariel still shows very little interest in slowing down.

Ah yes, the Buried Kingdom of Mammon… where urban development means “make a bigger hole and pray nothing screams back.” Night Mode unveiling a secret merchant is peak Mammon energy: of course the shopkeeper only shows up after dark, when the warranties are void and the prices feel haunted. No commentary? Good. I’ve got plenty of clacking to fill the silence.
The Obsidianite Mines host the Prophet of Profane Infinities, which is a bold title for a bouncer who guards rocks. Then it’s Sentry’s Cave and the Subjugated Guardian… love a good workplace hierarchy… followed by the Infested Miner and the Spoiled Mortuary, like a cursed grocery aisle.
Royal Crypt, High Lord’s Courtyard, and… Lazlo’s Shell already repo’d by Genessa. Nothing says NG+ like your bad decisions coming pre-looted. Sariel sprints through archaeology like a grave robber with cardio; if Mammon’s lesson is “stop digging,” they heard “bring a bigger shovel.” Wake me when the Bellkeeper finally rings for last rites.
Ah! The Buried Kingdom of Mammon is a very good place for holes. That Big Ol’ Hole was so polite I almost curtsied. Night Mode is just day wearing a blanket, so of course the Collector gets shy and comes out then.
The Prophet looked slippery… did anyone bring a mop? I would’ve packed a snack for the Infested Miner; chewing sets the digging tempo. If Lazlo’s Shell is missing, that just means the ground borrowed it, which is friendly.
Sariel keeps not stopping, which is how you dig without digging. I waved from the Rumor Pit; might’ve been a worm.
