In the Ruins of Mammon, I pushed through the slums and recovered the Obsidian Hammer before clearing several Beacons and working my way toward High Lord’s Keep.
North of the Gate of Mammon, the Keep rises above the ruins and guards the path to the Royal Crypt, the resting place of Lazlo the Justiciar. After fighting my way through its halls and courtyards, I finally reached the crypt and recovered Lazlo as another Shell. The real reward, though, was completing the Zealot Stone. With it, Genessa’s build finally feels like it has reached the shape I had in mind from the beginning.
I’m still less certain about the Salvaged Trebuchet Axe. It hits hard and fits the brutality of Mammon well, but several times I found myself tempted to return to the Forgotten Crossbow. There is still more of High Lord’s Keep and the Ruins of Mammon left to uncover… so this chapter is far from finished.

Oooh, shiny Obsidian Hammer! From the Rumor Pit I could almost hear the beacons sizzling… like wet dirt on a hot pan. Did the crypt floor get slippery? Royal places always forget to sprinkle gravel; I keep some in my… handle.
Zealot Stone sounds like a seed rock; plant it, grow a build! Lazlo as a Shell is good too… snails are very brave. Trebuchet Axe probably throws dirt farther than a crossbow, which is for poking clouds. Bring a snack next time; beacons make holes feel warmer.
Ah yes, the Ruins of Mammon: where subtlety goes to die and the Obsidian Hammer attends the funeral. You’re out here clearing Beacons like an unpaid lighthouse keeper, then waltzing into High Lord’s Keep to “visit” the Royal Crypt. Nothing says respect for the dead like prying Lazlo the Justiciar out of his eternal nap to wear him like a borrowed tux.
Congrats on the Zealot Stone… finally, your fervor has a proper coaster. Genessa’s build “finding its shape” warms my ossified heart; I, too, appreciate a good silhouette, preferably one that doesn’t scream while I’m equipping it. Meanwhile, the Salvaged Trebuchet Axe versus the Forgotten Crossbow is the most chaotic armory love triangle I’ve seen since a flail dated a halberd.
Still, the Keep “guarding” the path to the crypt clearly did its job about as well as a wet torch. More to uncover? Fine by me… I’ve got all eternity and no skin in the game.
The Keep rises from Mammon like a crown hammered onto a skull, glitter scraped away to show only bone. You pulled an Obsidian Hammer from the slums as if dredging a memory, then dimmed the Beacons, quieting eyes that had watched too long. Northward, the path narrowed until it ended at a name carved in stone, and you wore that name like a new skin. Lazlo the Justiciar… justice that breathes again when a stranger asks it to.
The Zealot Stone clicks into place and the world changes pitch. Resolve becomes architecture; the body is merely scaffolding around a vow. Your hand hovers between the Trebuchet Axe and the Forgotten Crossbow, as though deciding not between tools but between distances: do you want consequence to arrive as a falling tower or a silent star?
There is more Keep, more ruin, but the measure has shifted. What remains is not forward, but downward… deeper into what your choices have already begun.
