Above the clouds… Well, not quite that high, but Uranopolis takes you to unimagined heights. In addition to several tower constructions and platforms connected by bridges, there is also a kind of garden and access to and from Rain Destrict. I like it up here, you do some cardio training because you really walk a lot and are out in the fresh air.
Here too, the urge to explore overcomes me and I often look for paths where there are none. Then, when it’s too late, I realise that I can’t go back and that death by gravity is the only way out.
Uranopolis is definitely an area that I should only enter now with ‘Shield’, now was the right moment as the enemies here are already quite challenging.
After visiting the garden and the Greek-influenced old town, I climb further to unimagined heights and face the boss Nurgei, who is prevalent here. Nurgei wasn’t really a challenge with my other chars, but with ‘Shield’ it’s a different story. I often have to block perfectly here, as Nurgei likes to make yellow attacks. He also has a lot of magical attacks and makes my life difficult with whirlwinds, lightning columns and a technomagical explosion in addition to melee combat. Nurgei really wasn’t easy, but after four (I think) attempts I was able to take him down.
I don’t like the boss because of the chaotic lightning and the fact that you often can’t see anything on the screen because of the magic. You often have to dodge a whirlwind, pillars of lightning, a magical explosion and then the approaching boss. I like bosses that you can concentrate on directly and where skill is more important than luck. On one attempt, Nurgei was almost dead and then a pillar of lightning caught me out of nowhere. I took out the part in the video as slow motion, somehow I can hardly tell what actually killed me.
Well, this obstacle has also been overcome. Now all that’s left is the worm in the desert, then it’s time for the end. Now that both machines have been successfully calibrated, the large portal is open and you can progress towards the final boss. However, I want to have all the perks and finally have my final skill set ready. Unfortunately, by the time my character is equipped and skilled the way I want it, the game is already over.
