I am now in the Ringed City, what a surreal place at the end of the world. The opponents here are not worth mentioning, so I enjoy the city more as a tourist and take pleasure in the architecture. It is a place of great beauty, with crumbling castles covered in flowers and bathed in sunlight. This is in stark contrast to the rest of the world, which is decaying as the flame fades. The city was given by Lord Gwyn himself to the pygmies, the ancestors of humanity. Along with the city, he gave them his youngest daughter, Filianore.
The Ringed City is also the home of the Dark Soul. Indeed, the city may have been built by the gods to contain the power of the Dark Soul and its inhabitants. The Hunchback Witch relates that the Pygmies were exiled there long ago. Regardless, the city was fortified by the ancient kings, and many warriors seeking the Dark Soul have fallen at its gates.
