I like the longsword, it’s a bit slower than the short sword but has more reach. You can also deal some nice hard blows, but unfortunately I have the feeling that it’s a bit harder to break the stance with it than with a greatsword. In addition to the stats for the sword, I would also like it to match the Dark Crusader. So I’m slowly grinding my way through the Revelation Depths with weapons in my head.
I was also wondering how I would fare against the boss with a longsword. I haven’t fully upgraded it yet because I’m not sure whether I’d rather use a different sword. Unfortunately, I’m always very loyal to things and find it hard to change. Maybe I just want to get through the game completely as a Crusader. That in turn brings me back to the skill and back to the sword.
After I finally managed the boss, I immediately noticed a sword that I could swap for the Boss Remembrances. There’s a nice crossbow waiting there too and it totally fits the style of the Crusader, only the sword is huge… it just looks… not made for a human. I’d also have to shift my focus from strength to strength/agility. Hmm…
