The idea of healing the fighters against Radahn turned out to be a failure. So I thought I’d try it at least 10 times to be really sure I couldn’t beat Radahn that way. It was quite promising once, but I couldn’t revive any more fighters.
What can I say, I was a bit lucky and he actually fell at the hands of others without my intervention. The praise for me afterwards felt wrong somehow.
But finally the way to Nokron was clear. Unfortunately, I didn’t consider one problem, the assassin at the Round Table. I thought Esha disappears as soon as Radahn has fallen, but she doesn’t, she comes as soon as you have the first half of the medailon to the Haligtree in your inventory.
Here I had the choice of doing it all over again or clearing her out of the way as the only exception for this character. I didn’t feel like playing X hours from the beginning and struggled hard with myself. Esha is not a game advantage, only a disadvantage that I could not foresee. I didn’t know of any other way to solve this and I really need access to Rodericka. I could have avoided the blacksmith, there is Iji, but I can’t do without Rodericka.
In the new game run, I shouldn’t have picked up the medailon, so to speak. That’s all. Esha is not decisive, I just couldn’t solve the problem in any other way. Especially since this playthrough is also a test for me as to whether this is feasible at all.
Now that the path to Nokron is clear, I also immediately got the Mimic Tear. Which brings us to the next problem: I need better equipment for Alisan and at least a usable weapon. I think I will consider the Lordsworn’s Greatsword for this. It would be nice to have a good weapon that scales to Faith but doesn’t do Holy damage. We’ll see what else comes along. First of all, I need runes to get higher stats in strength and stamina.
