The Grand Finale (Vermillion Fields)

It’s done, TCHNMNCR has also reached the end. This time I chose the globe instead of the column, but I didn’t understand any more.
Overall, it was much easier with TCHNMNCR than with “The First”. He was so incredibly strong with the pets that I could only run to the boss. Even before I could make a big dent in the boss, he was already lying in the dust. The balancing still needs some fine-tuning. But it was fun. I really like the Technomancer, even if he was a bit too strong. He was quite slow to play at first and it takes a while to get going. But then he’s absolutely awesome. When the companions are out, however, it’s difficult to get your own actions, they just mow everything down.
Well, that was Bleak Faith Forsaken. I don’t know if another character makes sense, the bosses are too easy, whether with melee or ranged fighters. But what the game lives from is the incredibly dense atmosphere. Deluge is great, I also really like Rain Destrict. There are lots of beautiful areas. What I like less is the somewhat clunky controls. I haven’t yet figured out why I sometimes aim at an enemy with LB and do a ranged attack and sometimes he still hits me with his weapon. This is very annoying, especially when you want to move quickly. What I would also like to see more of is a bit more lore, more story. Scraps of a story are told here and you can only speculate wildly.
But I can overlook the story, I play games like this mainly for the gameplay and the atmosphere. What I would also like is a better parry system. I tried it at the beginning but very rarely got it right. Later, when I had my first staff, I didn’t care, apparently you can’t parry with the staff.
I think I’ll keep an eye on the game and maybe dig it out again in six months’ time. I can see that the developers are trying very hard and there are always new features and patches coming. In any case, the game was well worth it. I can recommend Bleak Faith to anyone who is looking for a Souls-like game that doesn’t have to be so hectic. Even if it still has a lot of flaws and bugs, it’s worth it and will give you many dark hours full of melancholy.
