One man, two nailed mittens and a flickering torch – that’s all it takes to conquer the dark depths of the cathedral. El Kloppo, ‘The Fist of Lothric’, lives up to his name, smashing his way through the ranks of the undead like a storm, destroying everything in his path. Skeletons, undead knights, even monstrous creatures – they all fall under the merciless blows of his iron fists. Bones crunch, jaws break, and the sound of splintering steel accompanies every punch El Kloppo delivers.
With each fight, it becomes clearer that the true strength of the Caestus lies in their staggering. The gauntlets are not just weapons, they are a tool of disruption. They strike quickly and precisely, interrupting every movement and breaking every defence. Only the great knights, who defy the storms with their poise like walking fortresses, pose a real threat. But even here, El Kloppo knows how to help himself: A small shield, a little dance around the opponent, and even these giants fall if you exploit their weaknesses often enough.
The cathedral itself offers little that could be dangerous to him. No enemy was strong enough to seriously slow the advance of the Fist of Lorraine. Even the Deacons of the Deep, who conjure up darkness in their sinister ritual, fell faster than expected. Death only creeps up when fate turns against him – whether it’s an unruly camera that makes him look into the void or a moment of hesitation in which his evasion timing is a split second too late.
But even El Kloppo needs his moments of peace. Not every area has to be a hellish nightmare, not every battle a test of survival.
Sometimes it is also a pleasure to plough through the enemies, to take them apart like cardboard figures and to cement your own reputation as an unstoppable fist with every blow. Because in these quiet victories, in which he paves his way without much resistance, he feels the true power that lies in his hands – a power that will be of great use to him in the coming battles.
