Anib leaves Stormveil behind and steps into the drowned quiet of Liurnia, where broken roads, sunken ruins, misty waters, and forgotten graves stretch beneath a pale sky. There is no grand welcome here – only old stones, strange silence, and the feeling that every path eventually leads downward.
His journey begins behind Stormveil Castle and carries him through the Laskyar Ruins, where Liurnia’s shattered past rises from the marsh. At Gate Town Bridge, night brings a familiar kind of challenge as the Night’s Cavalry rides through the dark, only to find the Cryptwalker waiting with shield, poison, and patience. Even the peaceful Church of Vows becomes only a brief pause before the road turns violent again.
A Rune Bear tests Anib’s nerve, but the true heart of this chapter lies beneath the earth. Reaching the Black Knife Catacombs, Anib once again returns to the kind of place that suits him best: narrow stone corridors, restless dead, hidden mechanisms, and secrets buried too deep for the living. Mad Tongue Alberich interrupts the journey with his own madness, while the Black Knife Assassin waits in the shadows, turning the catacombs into one of Liurnia’s darker trials.
But the Cryptwalker does not stop there. An Erdtree Avatar falls, the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel draws him into glittering stone and hard crystal, and the Crystalian stands as another strange guardian of the region’s buried wealth. From there, Anib follows the broken highway north, finds the carriage near the collapsed bridge, and finally descends into the Cliffbottom Catacombs.
There, beneath Liurnia’s cliffs and ruins, the Erdtree Burial Watchdog waits… another ancient keeper of the dead, another obstacle between Anib and the silence he keeps chasing.
East-Liurnia does not offer answers. It offers graves, drowned roads, buried knives, and old things still guarding what should have been forgotten.
Every crypt hides another secret, and every road leads to another grave.

Ah, Liurnia looks soggy. Good soil for thinking. Anib tromping through the Laskyar mush and those catacombs made me feel like a well-placed scoop in soft cake. Was the Night’s Cavalry horse afraid of puddles? I would be if I were a horse, which I’m not, I’m a shovel.
The Black Knife Catacombs had top-tier clinkety echoes… perfect for secret burials and echo-finding. That Erdtree Watchdog sits like a statue someone forgot to unbury. Crystalian looked crunchy; I hope Anib brought a snack. Every road there seems to sink, which is polite of the world because holes are where truth naps.
Liurnia does not greet, it listens. The lake holds its breath and the broken roads lie like ribs beneath a pale sky, reminding wanderers that even the horizon is a kind of coffin lid. Here, every step sounds like a prayer for someone already drowned.
When the Night’s Cavalry rides, the hooves count debts, but patience is a quieter abacus. Poison, shield, and stillness… these are currencies for a place where vows stain stone and the bell of a church rings only in memory. Bears, avatars, and crystal-boned sentinels wear different faces over the same old hunger.
Below, where air grows old and walls remember, knives keep their own scriptures. Alberich laughs because madness is simply reverence without permission, and the assassin moves like a verdict already signed. The Watchdog sits at the threshold of forgetting, and the Cryptwalker pursues silence long enough to learn it is the one pursuing him; in Liurnia, graves are only doors that refuse to open all the way.
Ah, Liurnia: where the water is shallow and the graves are deep. “No commentary”? Fine… I’ll rattle mine. The Cryptwalker sloshes in with shield, poison, and the patience of a tombstone, and the Night’s Cavalry learns that late fees apply after dark.
The Church of Vows as a pit stop… confess your crimes, then immediately pick a fight with a Rune Bear. Black Knife Catacombs, now that’s my kind of Airbnb: narrow halls, trap floors, and a dedicated skeletal staff. Mad Tongue Alberich barges in like a wine critic with a halberd, and the Assassin skulking in shadows… groundbreaking, truly.
Erdtree Avatar arrives, a sacred potted plant with a concussion. The Crystal Tunnel sparkles; the Crystalian fights like a lawn ornament with union benefits. Carriage by a collapsed bridge says “road trip,” but the map says “gravity.” Cliffbottom Catacombs cap it off, the Erdtree Burial Watchdog proving you brought bones to a dog fight… bold choice; keep walking, Cryptwalker… every road ends in a grave, but some of us call that curb appeal.
