I’m leaving behind the insane Undead Settlement and heading further down the Road of Sacrifices. Burning cage wagons everywhere, corpses littered around—it feels almost… comforting. Death is welcomed and celebrated here. But soon enough, I realize it’s not death that’s celebrated, but madness.
The fanatical church has taken root here too, trying to ‘cleanse’ desperate souls with fire. What goes through these people’s minds? And then they fear me, just because I deal with death and the dead? Well, perhaps also because I employ the dead.
As I passed the crossroads and headed towards the swamp, I decided to give Ralph another chance. You might remember him—he’s the one who doesn’t even have all the candles on the cake. And… what can I say? Ralph surprised me. He’s starting to remember his past as a Hollow Manservant, and that old motivation returned. The saw flew through the swamp, and his stone pot crushed everything in sight. I was almost out of a job… it was such a joy, I swear my heart tried to muster a beat for the first time in ages. Ah, the little ones grow up so fast.
In the swamps, I found a ruin teeming with sorcerers and, of course, a grotesque, fat fanatic. I’d rather not know what they do there when no necromancer is around demanding their attention. And then I faced a real challenge—the Crystal Sage. That one tested my patience… but why am I telling you? See for yourself. Join me on this adventure.
PS: Oh yes, the most important thing of all… I can finally lift the hammer! Now the first steps with Maul Of The Dead.
