Back in the citadel, I come out directly in the cellar. But there are still a few things I want to do before I get to Antanas. I think it might be a good idea to prepare myself a little better, sharpen my daggers, mix some poisons, pad my shoes so that I can continue to sneak silently through the vaults. So I wanted to take the portal back and then come out directly in the training room where I’ve been before. That works out well, so I can try out a few combat techniques right away. I’m particularly interested in fighting with two weapons. I like fighting with a shield, but I think I could be even more effective if I practised using two weapons instead of just a dagger and shield.
While practising, I found a new fist weapon, which fits perfectly. Now that I was well equipped, I felt ready to move forward.
Back in the cellar of the citadel, I was just about to go up the stairs when I was greeted by two angry fellows, the Lost Brothers, further experiments by Antanas? Very probably. They were lurking on the ceiling like animals, one facing the fire and one the lightning. This is going to be tough, I thought, and it was. They were strong. Of course I could have put on stronger armour and maybe a weapon that did more damage per hit, but I wanted to make it with the fist weapons. I like a challenge and after a few attempts I managed it, but it was tough. I’m curious to see what awaits me further up in the citadel if this is my reception in the basement.
OOC: The ‘Lost Brothers’ were really hairy. The rogue is much more challenging. I didn’t just want to use a heavier weapon here, I really wanted to make it as a stereotypical rogue. So either with a dagger or with the fist weapons.
