The catacombs were meant merely as a passage to the citadel, but they only deepened my suspicions. Antanas is far from the humanitarian that many monks believe him to be. Horrific experiments and torture have been carried out here. Yet the path to Antanas is not clear, as hordes of demons from the Rhogar realm roam here, clashing with the castle’s guards. The men fight valiantly, but against such supernatural fiends, swords and shields are not enough.
I battle my way up to the citadel, finally confronting Antanas after dispatching one of his monstrous creations. He dismisses his atrocities, claiming the ends justify the means. He is obsessed with Adyr and intent on killing the god, playing with forces beyond his reckoning to satisfy his own lust for power. Kaslo implores me to travel again to the Rhogar realm, specifically to the Chamber of Lies. Antanas has planted the idea that confronting and killing all Adyr’s commanders will provoke the god to face me. Can you believe it? They want me to kill a god? They must be mad. Yet, I will venture into the Rhogar realm once more; no answers are to be found here.
