After Blok 6174, many paths open up in different directions. What I immediately notice after the first steps…. I’m too weak, I hardly do any damage and I’m a mana hole. I’ll probably have to fall back on my manual dexterity with the weapon until after the next boss instead of using magic for controlled destruction.
That’s not so easy right now. All my points are continuously flowing into intelligence, which means I do little damage with weapons, have hardly any stamina and also have little stamina. Excellent!
I therefore fall back on a large two-handed mace, it’s the opposite of what I actually wanted to play, but I don’t think I should have opted for the Vampirism perk, the Technomancer might have been the better choice.
With this in mind, I set to work and slowly worked my way through the Machinarium. My biggest danger here… Mages and knights. The boss himself, a gigantic knight, was less of a problem.
Once I had captured the unstable perk, all I had to do was take it to the next Homunculus. That was a really shaky undertaking. So far, I find the Technomancer much more challenging than the Two-Handed Warrior. But I also think it was my mistake, I skilled wrong too early, I’m looking hopefully to the next boss, then Vampirism could pay off after all if I can draw mana instead of just life.
After the Machinarium I’m still unsure where to go next? All I know is that I need another perk… Maybe the Asylum… or Uranopolis?
