Freed from the dungeon’s grasp by a man named Kaslo, I couldn’t help but ponder the gravity of the situation. When prisoners are set loose to bolster the ranks against the demonic Rhogar, you know the odds are dire indeed. Yet, eager for escape, I joined Kaslo’s ragtag band, preferring the company of the living to the confines of my cell.
As we ventured towards the mountain fortress, our numbers dwindled, casualties of the relentless onslaught or cowardice in the face of terror. I question now if I should have braved this journey alone. The biting wind and desolation of the fortress only amplify my doubts, my longing for warmth and sustenance but a fleeting thought in these dark times.
But there’s little respite to be found within these cursed walls. Demon warriors infest every corridor, twisting and corrupting all they touch. Monks, once noble, now grotesque mutations of their former selves, serve as a chilling reminder of the fortress’s damnation. And in the heart of it all, a commander of the demon realm, a pawn of Adyr, awaits with bated breath.
Surviving his onslaught was a feat in itself, yet Kaslo has vanished, leaving me to navigate this labyrinth of horror alone. With retreat blocked, forward is the only path, each step plunging me deeper into the abyss of uncertainty. What foul bargain have I struck to find myself in this nightmare once more? Suddenly, the comfort of my cell doesn’t seem so repugnant after all.
OOC: After the warrior and the cleric, I am of course also interested in the rogue. Actually, I would have liked to start a new Souls-like game, but I can’t find any candidates in the Dark Fantasy direction at the moment. I hope there will be more soon.
